Gone Fishin'
Joe and I took the boat out for the first time in several years! We went to Folsom Lake and enjoyed the peaceful sleepy lake, thickly blanketed with fog. We tried to fish but we didn't catch anything--better luck next time! What I liked the most was seeing Joe's big smile when we started away from the dock--his pure joy and delight in fishing/boating lights up his whole being, it's so neat to see!

1.9.11 Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl Pregame
Joe and I traveled to San Francisco's AT&T Park yesterday for a very memorable bowl game experience. It was a beautiful sunny day that we'd been anticipating for over a month, a chance to see our Alma Mater, the Nevada Wolf Pack, play football in the World Series Champion Giants stadium!
We tailgated with friends and it was so delightful to visit with people from my high school and college that I haven't seen in years who were tailgating around us. It felt like Reno was transplanted to San Francisco that day, as some 38,000 Nevada fans descended onto the city! We enjoyed the game very much, victory for the Pack 20-13!
