This month, our little girl has displayed dramatic growth in all areas. She spent the month trying lots of new foods and is now pretty good at eating off of a spoon. She has favorite foods and there are plenty of things she has tried that she definitely doesn't like! She loves carrots, peas, sweet potatoes and baby mum-mums. She hates rice/barley/oat cereals, apple sauce, and green beans. Sometimes we can trick her into eating the foods she dislikes by mixing them into the ones that she does like! Her favorite food is still Mama's milk :)
Our little girl is always on the go! She can get up on her hands and knees and rock back and forth. She wants to crawl soooo bad, and it frustrates her that she can't quite do it yet! She can scoot backward, turn all the way around on her tummy, and roll over, of course. One funny quirk of hers is that she doesn't like to lie on her back anymore (it's a miracle we can still get these pictures! We have about 2 seconds to snap one!). That means diaper changes and dressing/undressing are done while she's on her tummy. She makes things interesting!
She is very smart and curious about everything. She can push buttons, play her xylophone, grasp, pull, push, reach for things, and swat toys and chase after them. She has a great serious/studious face. We can practically see the wheels in her brain spinning as she takes in everything she sees. She laughs and smiles very easily. She is a happy girl!
She's easier to take out and about now and Mama is enjoying the freedom. She loves being carried in the backpack when we're out running errands or simply enjoying a walk together. At our church's daycare, her caretakers say that she loves playing with the big kids and gets along well with others.
Our six month old is so much fun. Oh, how we adore her! Here's the pictures!
