Whitney Week By Week~Her Fifth Month

Whitney Sweetheart,

You are 5 months old now.

 

This has been a big month for you!

 

At Christmas you mastered rolling over. Now you prefer to play and sleep on your tummy.  We moved you from the Amby crib into your big girl crib--and it's been quite the adjustment for all of us.  Hello again, sleepless nights!

 

We started feeding you rice cereal last Sunday (almost 21 weeks old).  We try to feed a little of it to you each day--let's just say you're not crazy about it yet!  Most of it gets spit out and all over your face and down your neck. 

 

You are also very good at reaching for and grasping things now--toys, hair, flesh, clothes.  And everything you touch you put in your mouth. 

 

You are very talkative and sing along to music or when Mama is singing to you.  Your voice makes my heart melt.  It's so sweet.

 

  Your strong will is more evident all the time.  You know what you want and are very vocal and gesticulative in expressing how you feel.  Mama's got her hands full--I'm seeing the toddler years ahead and I think we (Daddy and I) are really in for it ;)

 

You also went to our church's daycare for the first time this week so Mama could focus baby-free at her Bible study.  I was nervous about it, but you did fine.

 

So much change in one short month.  We love you more each day.  You are truly an amazing little girl and make our lives so rich and full.  Be blessed, Little One.  Looking forward to the month ahead and all the new things you're gonna do!
