Levi Andrew~Two Months Old

Precious Boy,

You are two months old now.  You are still the sweetest, most laid back little guy.  You are pretty quiet and behind-the-scenes compared to your wild and crazy sister.

I enjoy the times when it's just you and me.  I love laying you against my thighs and just sitting face to face with you and watching you.  You totally light up for me, it's awesome.  I appreciate every amazing grin you give me, the sweet sounds you make in gesture towards me, and lately the little beginnings of a laugh.  When you smile, your gums show on top.  It is adorable.  You are quite handsome.

I also love watching you and Whitney together.  It is so heart-warming the way you look at her.  It's as though you already have a fondness for Whit--I can see it by the softness in your gaze towards her.  It's like you admire her--even though she is often being a complete goof, screaming and wacky.  Whitney loves you back, Sweet Boy.  She is always giving you lovin' and she's gentle toward you.  She has no interest in holding you at this point, but she likes to talk to you and reassure you when you're crying, offer you toys, and fetch pacifiers for you and try to put them in your mouth.  If we ever wonder where a pacifier is, we just ask Whitney.  She keeps good track of them.

You are really strong.  You can straighten your legs and "stand" with hardly any support.  You can hold your head up really well.  You seem to like tummy time without fussing much.  You like looking at the toys hanging from your play mat while you lay on your back.

You still love to be held and cuddled.  You sleep best with your arms swaddled--you sleep for a solid four or five hour stretch most nights, eat, then fall back asleep.  You love your Amby hammock, just like Whitney did.  You typically get up 2-3 times at night.  This month, you are awake much more during the day, and you nap well.  I love that you are easy to take places because you will sleep in the car seat and the jogging stroller--Whitney was never so portable.

At your two month check up, you weighed 13 pounds, 9 ounces.  You are now as heavy at two months old as Whitney was at five months old.  You are wearing size 6 month clothes and 9 month sleepers!  You are really growing fast!  I love the rings of chub around your wrists and ankles, and the soft and squishy chub on your thighs.  And on your back and shoulders.  And your cheeks and double chin.  It's everywhere.  It's the best!  Whitney was always thin and didn't have all the fat rolls and thickness that I love about you, my boy ;)  You're mighty cute, Son.

Your daddy and I can't picture life without you now.  You are such a peach!

Just hangin' out

These are my favorite moments with you in my lap

Cuddling.  It's what we do.

Such a prince!

Love your Vans socks!

Uncle Drew came to visit you at five weeks old

I look pretty ragged.  Ah well.  That's what it's like for me at this juncture ;)

I love your face.

Late night TV watching with Mommy and Daddy

It was funny--this was the night that we couldn't get you to fall asleep.  Daddy put you on the floor in the living room and you passed out right away!

My favorite cuddly boy!

I love sharing the bed with you when you are having trouble sleeping by yourself.  Whitney never liked to sleep with us.

Daddy made you a shirt to match the one he made for Whitney as a baby.  Go Pack!

Having a blast!

Time for another nap?

She's encouraging you--"Good job, Brudder!"  I'm sure that's what she's saying.

Just hangin' out!

One day I dressed you and Whitney alike purely by coincidence.  When Daddy got home, he changed shirts for this picture!

What do you want?  I'll give you ANYTHING. ;)

Whitney wanted to show you her Little People princesses one day

Ya I don't think you liked them...

My heart swells when you look at me this way.
