Levi Andrew~One Month Old

Dear Levi,

You are 1 month old!  At your one month checkup, you weighed 11 pounds, 10 ounces (90th percentile) and you're 23 inches long (95th percentile)!  You fit in newborn clothes for about a week, and at 4 weeks old, you now wear 6 month clothes!  Slow down, precious boy!  You are getting big so fast!

Every single day this month, you looked bigger--you were bigger!  Mommy and Daddy are astonished at how rapidly you are changing!  I guess Mommy's milk is more like heavy cream!  We have been taking lots of pictures of you and just spending time staring at you and making memories.

This month has gone fast, but is filled with memories of enjoying you!  So much cuddling, bouncing and rocking.  You love to be held and snuggled--so much more than your sister ever did.  I love that you are cuddly!  Your skin is so soft and I love how you nestle your head against my chest.  I could spend all day watching you sleeping and dreaming.  You are so peaceful when you are sleeping.  That's when I get glimpses of your amazing smile, too!

You are 100% all boy--you only make boy noises--grunts, grumbles and very loud burps and toots.  You are a noisy lil boy!  I remember your sister always made sweet girly noises--you definitely are boyish in every way!  Daddy and I can't even count how many times you've pooped and peed on us and all over everywhere during diaper changes, either...

You don't like to be swaddled with your arms confined--you love to have your hands by your face when you sleep so you can suck on your hands and fingers.  You loooove to suck--nursing you is the sure way to comfort you, and a pacifier works sometimes, too.

You are more awake now and are starting to coo and focus your eyes on things.

You are a good little traveler.  So far, it has been pretty easy to take you places in your car seat because you generally fall asleep.  We made it all the way to Reno at 3.5 weeks old before you woke up to nurse!  And all the way back home, too!

It's only been a month, but Daddy and I can't imagine our lives without you in it.  You are absolutely perfect.  And handsome.  And super laid back!  We love you, Sweet Boy!

Yay! Mommy did it!
