The Eclipse

Wasn't the eclipse cool last night?  Joe and I were intrigued by the moon shapes it casted through the trees in our backyard.

26 weeks along!

Today Daddy took the day off and we went to the doctor together to listen to your heart beating.  The sweetest sound.  Mommy's belly is measuring on target and she's gaining lots of weight lately.  Auntie Devon says she can see it in my face...Ugh oh well!  You are getting so big and strong!  Your antics keep me up at night and distract me at work sometimes.  Last week, Grandpa, Grandma, Grammy and Auntie Devon all enjoyed feeling you kick, punch, and roll against their hands.  They even talked sweetly to you near my tummy.  We all can hardly wait to meet you.

After the doctor's visit, we met with my HR department to gather information on my maternity leave and coming back as supplemental staff afterwards.  It may be counter-cultural these days, but we are commited to raising this little girl ourselves and are more than willing to make the necessary sacrifices financially to make our family life work.  God is so faithful to us, we know that we can trust His provision!

 Lunch date today was at Bistro 33.  Thanks, Honey!  What a peaceful patio spot for our little date.

Later today, we are working on Whitney's closet.  Joe put up more shelving to hold all of her cute things!  Anything for our baby girl :)
