Introducing Our Baby Girl

We are excited to announce that there's a little lady on the way! 

Whitney Rose Monson

A proper lady who didn't want to show us her gender!  Daddy is still not fully convinced that it's a girl but Mommy is certain that her daughter is just a little shy--Mommy can relate to that!

Daddy is practicing how to dress you.  Just roll with it, it's okay to wear it like a sweatband sometimes.

We love you, Whitney!  Mommy and Daddy think you're amazing!  It was thrilling to once again see you today.  You opened your mouth really wide for us to see!  You are cute in every way--buddha belly, tweezer buns, and dancing arms and legs, little hands and feet. It was fun to correlate your movement on the screen to the kicks and punches Mommy could feel.  You're halfway done baking--keep growing, child of ours--you are beautiful!  We are completely humbled and overwhelmed by God's insanely generous gift of YOU.

Nursery Update

Joe and I spent our Saturday afternoon putting up the alphabet letters in the baby's room.  It turned out nicely and I'm so happy it's finished!  I have little idea how to decorate the other walls in the room and am open for suggestions.  Joe also put together a side table that we will be using in the room.  To be painted on a sunny day!

Alphabet Letters are Painted!

Time for a little update!  Dad visited us last weekend!  Always nice to have you here, Dad!  Also, Joe has been busy working on those alphabet letters for the baby's room and I'm happy to announce that they are finished!  Now we have to spend some time thinking about how to arrange them for mounting on the wall.  Good thing I have Joe--it seems like a daunting task for my pregnancy brain...

Desert Botanical Garden

While on vacation, Joe and I and our friend Ronal visited the renowned Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix.  It was absolutely stunning.  I never appreciated desert plants in their variety and beauty as I do now.  We had a fantastic time wandering the garden and looking at all the cool plants.  We also got to visit a butterfly exhibit and see tons of different kinds of butterflies.  SO MUCH FUN!
