Whitney Week By Week~Her Fourth Month

You are babbling, practicing "M" and "B" sounds, and you always talk to yourself in your crib when you're putting yourself to sleep or when you are waking up happy, waiting for us to come and get you.

You are rolling over, making crawling motions with your arms and legs and starting to be able to tuck your knees under you when you're on your tummy.  You grab at the blanket and gather it in as you try to crawl.

You found your hands and when they're not in your mouth, you put them together and love to hold on to things and touch everything and pinch...hard (like the inside of Mama's arm).

"Standing" on the counter in front of the bathroom mirror makes you so excited you can't contain your laughter! Going on walks is another favorite activity--you coo and coo as you take in all the interesting sights and sounds.

You are beautiful.  Perfect.  Four months old!  We love you!

Peanut

Here are some recent iPhone photos of Whitney!

Smooshing her cheek against mine

Meeting the cousins for the first time on Thanksgiving

She loves to stare at the television

Digging books already

Sharing a moment with her uncle

I love peeking at this sleepy face

Second cousins at Thanksgiving.  What a goofy bunch!

So sweet!  My heart longs for Uncle Drew to live closer!

She is starting to make crawling movements with her arms and legs

Her cousin Cobi getting a chance to snuggle with her

Got a good lil grip on the pig

Her cousins are in love with her

We screenprinted her Thanksgiving t-shirt

Again, relaxing in front of the TV--one of the only times she'll sit still!

Travelling to Nevada is rough for this little one, but sucking on my fingers helped her cope for a while.

Whitney Week By Week~Her Third Month

Your dad and I are so crazy in love with you.

You have the sweetest voice I've ever heard.  And you have so much to say!

You drool and blow bubbles all the time.  You are always sucking on your fists lately.

You are determined.  You want to stand up, not sit or lie down or cuddle.  We joke that you might skip crawling all together.  You have learned how to roll over, but you've only done it 3 times in the last two weeks.  It frustrates you that you can't do it every time.

Looking at these pictures from 9 weeks to 13 weeks, I am stunned by how fast you are growing! We are having so much fun watching you grow and change. The rewards of parenthood are overflowing now.

How blessed we are to be your parents, Peanut.  You are amazing.

My Little Sweetness

Just some random Whitney photos that I love!
Gorgeous girl!
My sleepy Minnie with her hat backwards
Wish I knew why she loves this bouncy seat so much.  It makes her more excited than anything else!
Tummy time on Mama's lap
Daddy trying to entertain her with a few oinks
That smile.
Always so calm when she's with her Daddy
Bringing the A's good luck this season
Having herself a grand ole time while Mama cooks dinner
I just love this hat.  Our neighbor made her another one for a Halloween present and Joe and I got so excited!
Cuddling with Auntie Devon
She already loves looking at books
Happy baby.  Happy Mama.

The Pumpkin Photoshoot

Joe and I thought it would be cute to get some fun fall pictures of Whitney sitting in a pumpkin.  We didn't know she would hate it.  But she totally did.  Hated every second of it.  It was awful and we felt soooo guilty.  In fact, days later, I still have that guilt, even though I'm sure she's forgotten the event...

We would set her in the pumpkin, try to get some pictures, then take her out and soothe her and try again.  Over and over.  Never did get any happier about it.  I wonder what our neighbors thought we were doing!!  She was screaming her head off!!  There was only one photo out of 39 where it doesn't really look like she's upset.  Ah well.

Um, Mom?  What are you doing?
I hate this!

Dad, you'll save me, right?

Don't you guys understand me at all???

I can't believe they are leaving me in this pumpkin and laughing at me while they snap a zillion pictures when I'm clearly MAD!

Whew, Dad rescued me finally.  Mom, why didn't YOU?  I thought you loved me.

Oh no.  Not again.  This is awful.

I'm serious, Dad.  I can't stand this!!

I'm beside myself with anger.  I hate pumpkins!!

Please, Mom.

WAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!

This is so horrible!  I can't believe they don't understand that I want OUT!

NOW!!!
