Make Your Own~Toaster Strudel

I think I just died and went to Heaven.

I was wondering to myself about other yummy ways to use the versatile apple butter I made a few days ago and I decided to venture out on a limb and use it as the filling for my very own version of a Toaster Strudel (LOVED those as a kid. Thanks, Mom!).

So easy.

Just start with a box of puff pastry dough. Let it thaw for 30-45 minutes on the counter. Prepare a few baking sheets by spraying with cooking spray. Preheat the oven to 400.

Cut the thawed dough into thirds and separate each piece. Lay half of the individual pieces on the baking sheets. Place a spoonful of apple butter on each piece of puff pastry. Then top each serving with another layer of puff pastry. Pinch together the sides or use a fork if you want it to look prettier.

Bake for about 15 minutes.

Then devour it. The perfect sweet treat, for breakfast or dessert. Or anytime!
